Each market tracks the RedStone feed named after its ticker and is checked against the Chainlink reference in the last column (see the oracle). A position is synthetic: it pays the price difference in USDG. It is not a share or a coin, and it carries no dividend and no vote.
Every market shares the same limits at launch: minimum margin $1, maximum notional $100,000 per position, and $250,000 of open interest per side. The owner can add markets, change limits within bounds and retire a market; the contract's market(id) view is the authority on current values.
//02_ CRYPTO HOURS
BTC and ETH have no session. Requests are accepted and filled at any hour, every day, and positions can be liquidated at any hour.
//03_ EQUITY SESSIONS
The nine equity markets accept new requests only during the New York regular session: 09:30 to 16:00 America/New_York, on NYSE trading days. Two independent conditions must both be true:
- The keeper flag. The keeper opens each equity market at 09:30 and closes it at 16:00 on NYSE trading days. It follows the NYSE calendar for 2026 and 2027: market holidays stay closed, and early-close days close at 13:00.
- The contract's own clock. The contract computes New York time from the block time, with the US daylight saving rules, and refuses equity requests outside Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:00. Even if the keeper fails or is compromised, an equity market can never be open at night or on a weekend.
Holidays and 13:00 early closes depend on the keeper alone: on those days the on-chain clock would allow trading, and only the keeper flag keeps the market closed.
//04_ OUTSIDE THE SESSION
requestOpenandrequestCloseare refused for that market. You cannot open or close an equity position while its session is closed.- Requests already recorded execute normally at their fill time. A request sent at 15:59:55 fills at the 16:00:00 price.
- Positions stay open over nights, weekends and holidays, like a contract for difference on a stock.
- Liquidations still run whenever a fresh signed price crosses a bust price. For an equity, that means when the oracle publishes a price that has moved that far, which can be at the next open, after a gap.
//05_ PAUSES AND RETIREMENT
The owner can pause new opens on every market at once. A pause blocks new open requests and refunds pending ones at their fill time; closes and liquidations continue as usual.
The owner can also retire a market, permanently. Retirement freezes the market at a fresh signed price (at most 60 s old). From then on new opens are refused, pending opens are refunded, and every remaining position can be closed at any hour, settling at the frozen price without a proof. Liquidations settle at that price too.
